From Prishtina to Osaka: The BOLD Collection at EXPO 2025
From Prishtina to Osaka — this journey began with a heart full of excitement, and it has led us to one of the most important stages in the world of culture and innovation: EXPO 2025 Japan.
Showcasing the BOLD Collection at the Kosovo Pavilion is more than a design achievement for us. It is a moment of carrying culture, memory, and play across borders — sharing not only objects, but the values and identity that shaped them.
The BOLD Collection at EXPO 2025
The BOLD Collection, rooted in the traditional Albanian Shkam stool, reimagines heritage through a contemporary lens of modularity, sustainability, and experimentation.
- BOLD Chairs — sculptural pieces manufactured by ELNOR Furniture, where craftsmanship meets bold design language.
- BOLD Table — created by BORN Material, transforming recycled plastic into a sculptural form that merges sustainability with sensibility.
- BOLD Qilim — handwoven by ARTI N’LESH, a rug that translates traditional motifs into a contemporary statement of material poetry.
Together, these pieces stand as symbols of identity and dialogue — a bridge between tradition and modernity, Kosovo and the world.
An Unforgettable Journey
Being part of EXPO 2025 is an honor and responsibility. It means seeing our work become part of a global moment that celebrates creativity, innovation, and culture. To walk through the Kosovo Pavilion and see the BOLD Collection on display is to witness a story from our homeland finding resonance on the international stage.
We are deeply grateful to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Wood Kosovo, and the Embassy of Kosovo in Japan for their support in making this possible.
Reflection: What We Take Home from Osaka
As we wrap up our moments in Osaka, one feeling stands out: gratitude. Gratitude for every step, every hand, and every collaboration that brought this vision to life. Gratitude for the chance to show that design from Kosovo has a voice in the world.
The BOLD Collection will remain on display at the Kosovo Pavilion until October, continuing to tell our story of heritage, innovation, and boldness.
This is more than an exhibition — it is a celebration of who we are, and a reminder of where we are headed.
